If you have an old collection of sterling silver jewelleries that were kept for a long time, then there’s a huge chance that there lustre and shininess are a bit dull today. Indeed, the best way to regain the shininess of any sterling silver is with the use of proper silver polish, but sometimes it’s not readily available at home. So, while waiting for your silver polish to be delivered if it was bought online, temporarily end the tarnish and dull look of your sterling silver jewelleries using a natural solution; a simple solution that can be mix with ingredients that are always available at home.

The materials you need are aluminium baking dish, a tablespoon of baking soda, a cup of boiling water, a tablespoon of rock salt, a half cup of white vinegar, cloth for polishing, and a tong to remove the silver jewelleries from boiling water.

First, mix the baking soda and rock salt onto the aluminium baking dish. Also, place the sterling silver jewelleries on top of the mixture. Bring water to a boil and pour it on the mixture with your silver jewelleries; the chemical reactions will start to transfer the tarnish towards the aluminium dish. Next, add the vinegar to speed up the cleaning process, then leave the sterling silver jewelleries soak about a minute or so before removing them with a tong. Lastly, use the cloth to polish them.

This natural cleaning remedy will surely regain the lustre and shininess of your sterling silver jewelleries. But, if you acquired a high-grade silver polish, then use it; this will even surpass the results provided by the natural cleaning solution.
